Worst airline ever
THIS IS THE WORST AIRLINE I HAVE EVER FLOWN!!!! My flight was canceled twice, and they did not provide any help i.e., hotel, food, or connections. The front desk did not speak enough English to help get you to your destination. I was stuck in Monterrey, Mexico… See more overnight without a hotel and I don't speak Spanish. When we left Cabo, the front desk told us we were going to get a hotel from the airline and a food voucher. This was not the case leaving several of us stranded. I will never fly this airline again,

Zero stars. Worst airline ever!
Viva Air is the WORST AIRLINE IN THE WORLD. I have flown with more than 30 airlines around the world, but I never had such a nightmarish experience as I did with this airline. I bought a basic ticket for my brother or so I thought. This ticket included a… See more backpack only. I unselected all preselected options in their website to make sure the price wouldn’t go up. I had to do this more than 8 times as the website kept adding things that I hadn’t selected. On my 8th or so attempt, I went to pay, the price was showing correctly, but on the window you have to pay, they don’t show the total price. The surprise came after I paid, The price I was charged was much higher than the original price. I also saw the ticket wasn’t for a basic flight but more for a business type of flight or M tariff as the airline calls it that included a bunch of services that I didn’t select including bags, insurance, priority boarding, seat selection, free check in at the airport, refundable ticket w/o penalty and other stuff. I was so surprised and aggravated by this and I contacted the airline right away. They never answered their phones neither in Medellin where I bought the ticket nor I’m Bogota or other cities in Colombia and much less a number I found for them in the US. I then tried to chat with them online to no avail. They wouldn’t answer my questions or they would end the chat in the middle of it or just go quiet. I was a miserable experience. I couldn’t cancel the flight because the trip was for the next day and the time didn’t allow for searching for more tickets. I was stuck with it and I never received an answer from the airline even though I wrote a detailed letter to them asking them to reimburse me for the extra costs they added to the ticket. It’s been weeks I wrote to them and I still haven’t received and answer or my money. AVOID THIS AIRLINE AT ALL COSTS!! It is ABSOLUTELY the WORST airline ever!!!

Still the worst airline of all time
Still horrible. I hate this company. I'd rather see them go out of business and pay x2 for flights for the rest of my life than to experience this airline again.

Opportunistic airline
Cheat of an airline. I paid a lot of money for 25kg check-in allowance for two passengers. Ours bags were just 1 kg overweight and they charged us for it, whereas any other airline in the world would have made this reasonable concession. Best to avoid beggar… See more businesses like this.

Ripoff
On 12/29/22 I booked a ticket from MED to CTG, Flight VH5636, on 2/10/23 at 1:13 PM. My flight was confirmed by eDreams. In addition to the flight for two people, I paid for two checked bags. On January 31, 2023, I received an email from Viva advising I was… See more confirmed on a flight from MDE to CTG at 6:30AM. I went to the Viva site and rebooked for the original time and was charged $88.60. In Medellin I had the hotel check my flight and was told by Viva that because the flight was changed it was like a cancellation and the money I paid for checked baggage was lost. So, I had to pay $81.12 additional even though I had paid eDreams for the bags. Thus, this flight cost me a total of $374.51. I am owed a refund of $169.72.

Switching seats not allowed…
Switching seats with other passenger to sit next to each other is not allowed. It’s only possible by buying your preferred seat. They do everything to make you pay more, its a shame.
