Conviasa is Venezuela’s government-owned flag carrier and was established in 2004. Its full name is Consorcio Venezolano de Industrias Aeronáuticas y Servicios Aéreos, although it trades simply as Conviasa. The airline was created to provide scheduled domestic and international connectivity under Venezuelan state ownership, using the IATA code V0 and ICAO code VCV.
