About LATAM Airlines
LATAM Airlines traces its Chilean roots to Línea Aeropostal Santiago-Arica, founded in 1929 and later known as LAN Chile and LAN Airlines. The present LATAM identity emerged after the combination of Chile's LAN and Brazil's TAM, completed in 2012, with the unified brand introduced in 2016. It operates as part of LATAM Airlines Group, a publicly traded airline group with passenger and cargo businesses across Latin America.
The airline's primary hub is Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport in Santiago, supported by major departure bases in Lima, Buenos Aires, Bogota and Miami. Its network comprises 338 routes serving 94 destinations across 21 countries.
