Fly One

Fly One is a privately owned Moldovan low-cost airline founded in 2015 and launched commercially in 2016. Based in Chișinău, it operates under the FLYONE brand and focuses on affordable point-to-point travel. The wider brand also includes separately certificated operations outside Moldova, so passengers should check which group carrier operates their flight when booking.

Chișinău International Airport is the airline’s primary hub and the centre of its Moldovan network. Fly One serves a mixture of year-round and seasonal routes to Western and Central Europe, the Mediterranean, the Caucasus and parts of the Middle East. Its schedule is particularly useful for Moldovan residents, diaspora communities and visiting-friends-and-relatives traffic.

The airline relies mainly on Airbus A320-family aircraft, including A319, A320 and A321 variants, although the precise operating fleet can change through leases and seasonal capacity arrangements. Aircraft generally have a high-density, single-cabin economy layout. Fare bundles determine benefits such as checked baggage, seat selection, flexibility and priority services rather than providing distinct long-haul-style cabin classes.

Fly One does not belong to Star Alliance, SkyTeam or Oneworld, and travellers should not expect the alliance-wide earning, lounge or connection protections available from a global network carrier. It does not have a conventional frequent-flyer programme whose points are broadly transferable to partner airlines, although promotional memberships or optional service packages may sometimes be offered through its website.

Fly One’s principal strength is its range of nonstop links from Moldova, including routes that can remove the need to connect through a larger European hub. The trade-off is a low-cost service model: the cheapest fares may include few extras, schedules can be seasonal, and rebooking options depend heavily on the purchased bundle.
