About BBN Airlines
BBN Airlines Indonesia was established in Jakarta in 2022 and is part of Avia Solutions Group, an international aviation-services group focused heavily on aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance leasing. The carrier received its Indonesian air operator certificate in 2023. The supplied B5 and FLT codes, and the legal name Flightline, do not match BBN Airlines Indonesia, whose published identifiers are 7B and BBL.
The airline is based at Jakarta's Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. It began scheduled domestic passenger flying in September 2024, initially linking Jakarta with Balikpapan, Denpasar and Surabaya, and later serving Pontianak. Those scheduled services ended in February 2025 after weak demand. BBN has continued as an operational airline concentrating on charter flying and ACMI capacity supplied to other carriers rather than maintaining its own bookable scheduled network.
BBN's fleet is built around the Boeing 737 family. Its passenger operation has used Boeing 737-800 and 737-900ER aircraft, while Boeing 737-800 freighters have also formed part of its cargo activity. Aircraft deployed for another airline may carry that customer's commercial product, so seating, cabin service, baggage terms and even visible branding can depend on the contract and route rather than a single standard BBN offer.
BBN Airlines Indonesia is not a member of Star Alliance, SkyTeam or Oneworld, and no proprietary frequent-flyer programme is publicly established. On ACMI flights, ticketing, customer service, lounge access and mileage earning are generally governed by the marketing or contracting airline. Travellers should therefore use the airline named on their ticket for loyalty questions, while checking the operating-carrier line to see whether BBN will actually fly the service.
The carrier's practical strength is flexibility: its passenger and cargo 737 operation can add capacity for airlines, tour operators and charter customers. For ordinary travellers, the challenge is limited direct visibility. With no current scheduled network sold under BBN's own name, schedules and service rules may be set by another airline or charter organizer, and historical destination lists can misleadingly suggest that former domestic routes are still available.
