Overview
Ninoy Aquino International Airport sits roughly 7 kilometres south of central Manila, in the Pasay and Parañaque areas of Metro Manila, Philippines. It serves as the country's primary international gateway and busiest air hub, handling the vast majority of the Philippines' overseas traffic. The airport is named after senator Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr. and has operated on its current site since the 1940s.
Terminals & Runways
The airport has four terminals: Terminal 1 handles most foreign carriers, Terminal 2 is dedicated to Philippine Airlines, Terminal 3 serves Cebu Pacific and select international flights, and Terminal 4 handles smaller domestic operations. Two parallel runways run roughly northwest–southeast. The airport operates around the clock, though noise ordinances restrict certain overnight movements. Infrastructure upgrades and congestion-relief projects have been ongoing for years.
Airlines
Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific are the primary hub carriers, with AirAsia Philippines also maintaining a significant presence. Major international carriers from Asia, the Middle East, North America, and Europe operate here, connecting Manila to most major global cities.
