About EZE

Overview

Ministro Pistarini Airport sits roughly 35 kilometres southwest of central Buenos Aires, in the city of Ezeiza, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. It serves as the country's primary international gateway and one of the busiest airports in South America. Opened in 1949, it replaced the older Aeroparque Jorge Newbery for long-haul international traffic, which continues to operate domestically closer to the city.

Terminals & Runways

The airport operates two main passenger terminals: Terminal A handles the majority of international flights, while Terminal B serves additional international and some regional operations. Two parallel runways oriented roughly east–west allow simultaneous operations under most conditions. The airport operates around the clock without a curfew, and periodic infrastructure upgrades have modernised its facilities over the decades.

Airlines

Aerolíneas Argentinas is the primary hub carrier, operating both international long-haul and connecting domestic services through Ezeiza. LATAM Airlines maintains a focus-city presence. Major international carriers from Europe, North America, and the wider Americas serve the airport regularly, reflecting its role as Argentina's foremost intercontinental hub.
