About Vueling
Vueling is a Spanish low-cost airline founded in 2004 and headquartered near Barcelona. It began operations with a small network from Barcelona and has since developed into one of Spain’s principal carriers. The airline is owned by International Airlines Group, the parent company that also controls British Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus and LEVEL, while Vueling retains its own brand and operating identity.
Barcelona-El Prat Airport is Vueling’s primary hub and the largest departure point in its network. Paris, Bilbao, Malaga and Amsterdam are also important operating bases or departure airports. The airline serves 65 destinations across 20 countries on 228 routes, concentrating on Spain, major European cities, Mediterranean leisure markets and selected destinations in North Africa and the Middle East.
Vueling operates a narrow-body Airbus fleet that includes Airbus A319 and Airbus A320 aircraft. Its high-density cabins are designed for short- and medium-haul flying, with a single physical economy-class cabin. Different fare bundles determine features such as baggage, seat selection, flexibility and priority services, while selected front-row products provide additional space and convenience rather than a separate traditional business-class cabin.
The airline is not a member of Star Alliance, SkyTeam or Oneworld. Its loyalty programme is Vueling Club, through which members can earn and redeem Avios on eligible Vueling bookings and selected partner activity. Vueling’s ownership within International Airlines Group also creates links with the wider Avios ecosystem, although earning rules, benefits and redemption options vary by airline and fare.
Vueling’s main strength is the breadth of its point-to-point network from Barcelona and other Spanish airports, including useful links between major cities and popular holiday destinations. I will avoid in future
Very late. Very dirty - or rather, they just didn't clean the plane. No apologies. Reached Gatwick airport with limited methods of getting home. I will avoid their service in future. And every time I see their adverts, I'm reminded of how awful my experience… See more was and then looking at reviews from other people, I realised it was my fault for not checking reviews first.

total ignorance and customer despisal
i have three return tickets on hand purchased three years ago. vueling canceled those flights and issued vouchers to refund after three years. now i has tried to request the refund, but they just keep ignoring my requests.

Horrible start to the holiday.
Horrible start to the holiday! We are a family of 4; 2 adults,2children. The night before our flight we checked in online. The site wanted us to prebook our seats for almost £50 each so we left that part. On arrival at Gatwick -they put all our luggage through… See more and all was fine. I said to the staff member, ‘Are we sitting together?’ The response was, ‘You will find out at the gate when you board.’ We thought this was strange but didn’t think much of it. At the gate and about to board, one of the staff said to us if we could wait at the side…. we queried why, but he said to give him a minute. Later on he came over and calmly as you like, said are you ok to ‘split fly 3/1?’ We assumed he meant 3 seated together and one separately so said fine. 5 minutes later he said he wanted to confirm that we were ok with 3 of us flying now and one at a different time!!!! What?!?!? It took me some time to process what the hell was going on. Of course we complained and said we booked this flight 6 months ago and you have checked us in as a family but all the staff looked incredulous. Apparently this goes on ALL the time - even if we had prebooked seats, another member of staff said Vueling change the size of the plane last minute. Last week 40 people didn’t get on!!! It was an absolute headache and all we got was here’s an email address to complain to. Staff are unsympathetic, I think because this is what the airline does so frequently it has become the norm for them. Luckily someone cancelled last minute so we were told- ‘you’re on!’ Like we should be grateful …..never should have happened in the first place so NEVER again!

Terrible! Can’t describe these people’s incompetence in other words
Lost a baggage in a direct flight. Definitely won’t be flying with this airline again. Gets you wondering how is it possible for them to lose so much luggage- someone is apparently not doing their job right.

Hard case luggage surcharge - disabled discrimination
Travelled with small hard shell suitcase that fitted under seat from London to Asturias with no problem. Travelling back, at boarding gate they surcharged me £60 at Asturias stating that charge was for hard case, objected that as it was not a soft backpack and… See more would not squash to fit. Actual suitcase was 40×30×20 but I did not include wheels. Picture with size 6 flipflop for comparison. I am disabled, carrying luggage in a backpack is difficult and this is discrimination. Several other passengers were also surcharged. Forced to pay or would have removed suitcase which had my medication in it. Beware.

Pretty smooth
I was a bit skeptical at first because I didn't knew much about this airline. I flew from Milano Malpensa (MXP) to (BCN) in Barcelona and it went pretty smoothly. The aircraft that I flew with was an A320 and it was quiet smaller compare to I usually go with,… See more but considering the distance, it was more than enough. The seats were standard and the leg room space was ok. There was obviously no mini monitors on them and the only thing that they could provide were snacks and wifi which you need to pay for both (optional). I was a bit dissappointed that the Wifi needed to be rented for a fee. Overall it is cheap and could get you to your destination and I highly reccomend it for families.
