About Suparna Airlines

Suparna Airlines is a scheduled carrier headquartered in the People's Republic of China. It was established in 2003 as Yangtze River Express and later adopted the Suparna Airlines name as its identity expanded beyond dedicated cargo operations. The airline has historically been associated with the HNA aviation group, although travellers should check current corporate and operating information when booking because ownership structures can change.

Ribeirao Preto is its busiest departure hub by number of routes, followed by Brasilia, Goiania, Barreiras and Cuiaba. The airline operates 30 routes linking 14 destinations within one country. Its network includes major cities and regional centres such as Sao Paulo, Salvador, Belo Horizonte, Curitiba, Uberlandia, Sao Jose Do Rio Preto and Ji-Parana, with an emphasis on domestic connectivity.

Aircraft recorded on these services include the Embraer EMB-120 Brasilia and Embraer ERJ-145 Regional Jet. Both are designed for regional flying and are substantially smaller than the narrow-body jets used by larger trunk-route airlines. Cabin layouts, seat selection and onboard service can differ by aircraft and fare, so passengers should review the operating flight details before travel.

Suparna Airlines is not a member of Star Alliance, SkyTeam or Oneworld. A clearly identifiable standalone frequent-flyer programme and official loyalty homepage are not confirmed, so travellers should not assume that flights automatically earn points with a major global alliance. Any mileage earning, partner benefits or lounge access should be verified against the conditions displayed for the specific ticket.

The focused network can be useful for direct travel between regional cities that might otherwise require a connection through a larger gateway. The trade-off is a smaller schedule and fewer recovery options when disruption occurs, particularly on routes with limited frequencies. Travellers should leave adequate time for onward connections and confirm baggage, check-in and schedule details close to departure.

Good to know

Flying with Suparna Airlines — what to expect

Regional Aircraft

Services may use Embraer EMB-120 or ERJ-145 aircraft, which have smaller cabins and more limited overhead storage than mainline jets. Keep bulky cabin baggage to a minimum.

Check Baggage Terms

Baggage entitlements can vary by fare and route. Confirm the allowance shown on your ticket before arriving at the airport, especially if travelling with checked luggage.

Allow Connection Time

A focused regional schedule can provide fewer same-day alternatives after a delay or cancellation. Build a generous buffer before separately ticketed onward flights.

Confirm Operating Details

Check the departure airport, terminal, schedule and operating aircraft shortly before travel. Regional services can be more susceptible to operational changes.

Limited Alliance Benefits

Suparna Airlines is not part of a major global airline alliance. Do not assume alliance lounge access, priority treatment or mileage credit applies without confirmation.

Punctual airline with limited network

EconomyJinan - Taizhou

This airline has been punctual when I have flown with them between Jinan and Taizhou/Luqiao. Flying time is normally also shorter than the scheduled time. You get a hot meal also in economy class

Excellent flight with first class service all around

I was concerned about flying on an airline that I hadn't heard of before but needed to make the trip--my fears were unfounded--the service was excellent all the way around, from the ticketing through the gate personnel--everyone was very professional and See moreSee less
