About Magnicharters
Magnicharters was established in 1994 by the Bojórquez family and began flying in January 1995 under the corporate name Grupo Aéreo Monterrey. Created to transport customers of the affiliated Magnitur travel agency, it developed an identity centered on leisure travel. The carrier initially operated charter and cargo services before receiving authorization to sell scheduled passenger flights in 2000.
The airline operated principally from Mexico City International Airport and Monterrey International Airport, connecting large population centers with Mexican holiday destinations. Its network emphasized Cancún, Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos, Huatulco, Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo and Mazatlán. International services appeared periodically, including flights to Cuba, the Dominican Republic and the United States, while additional charter flying complemented the published schedule.
Immediately before operations were suspended, Magnicharters used a small fleet of Boeing 737-300 aircraft. These narrow-body jets were configured for short- and medium-haul leisure services rather than a multi-cabin premium product. The airline generally offered a straightforward economy-class experience, with the precise inclusions, baggage conditions and onboard services determined by the fare or holiday package purchased.
Magnicharters did not belong to Star Alliance, SkyTeam or Oneworld, and it was not known for operating a conventional frequent-flyer programme. Its business was instead closely associated with leisure packages and charter-style distribution. Travellers therefore received no alliance-wide mileage, status or lounge benefits and needed to assess each fare primarily by its included services and restrictions.
The carrier's main strength was its focus on direct links between Mexican cities and popular resort areas, which could be convenient for package-holiday travellers. Its small, older Boeing 737 fleet and limited schedule provided fewer recovery options when disruption occurred. Magnicharters suspended flight operations in April 2026 amid financial difficulties, so travellers should not treat historical schedules or booking pages as evidence of current service.

Life-saver airline
This airline is an amazing airline. They are a life-saver. We purchased our tickets in person through a travel agent at the airport. And we got our ticket through WhatsApp. (sounds really crazy, but it was real). If you want to visit Cuba and are in Cancun or… See more anywhere else where in Cuba, this is the airline. You have to go to the actual airport and buy your ticket. But it is super worth it. The employees are awesome and very helpful. And yes, they give you 2 choices of beverages onboard: water or beer. It is a 1 hour flight from Cancun to Havana. And this is best airline out of Cancun.

Good Airplane not that clean
I have traveled with them before it is an average airplane nothing fancy, only thing I noticed since my last trip, compared with other airlines they dont give any additional attention to passengers like food, beverages or magazines. Flight was fast but the… See more time we saved on the flight was the time we lost in the airport since the airplane remained stop for more than 30 minutes before we could leave the plane. on the back of the seats there were some used facemask and some coffe cups from other passengers so airplane wasnt cleaned well and probably not sanitized either.

Good service and speedy
The flight to Cancun and back to Monterrey was great fast and in and out in a flash. Great service, a little over 2 hours, short and sweet. The wait at the airport a little crowded but flights come and go and seats empty fast. thanks

Its good
Awsome staff and a great flight from monterrey mexico to cancun. First time we flight with them very affortable and we would love to travel with them again, however i do believe they need to consider updating their planes. I mean Especially their seats that… See more were very wore out, i felt i was riding in one of them old school buses. Other than that it was good.
