JetSmart
An Indian low-cost airline associated with Jagson Group, operating a compact ATR 72 network linking Balkan and European cities.
About JetSmart
JetSmart, carrying the airline codes JA and JGN, is identified as a low-cost carrier headquartered in India and legally associated with Jagson Group. Its branding should not be confused with the similarly named South American airline JetSMART. A founding year is not sufficiently clear from reliable information, so travellers should verify the operating carrier shown on their booking before departure.
Sarajevo is the airline’s busiest departure hub, followed by Banja Luka, Copenhagen, Istanbul and Zurich. JetSmart serves exactly 5 destinations across 4 countries through 8 routes. The network links Bosnia and Herzegovina with major European and regional gateways, giving it a narrowly focused international footprint rather than the extensive domestic Indian network its headquarters might suggest.
The aircraft type associated with its operations is the Aerospatiale/Alenia ATR 72, a twin-turboprop commonly used on short regional sectors. As a low-cost operator, JetSmart should be expected to emphasize a straightforward economy-class product. Cabin options, seat selection, checked baggage and onboard inclusions may differ by fare, making the conditions displayed during booking especially important.
JetSmart is not known to belong to Star Alliance, SkyTeam or Oneworld. No confidently identifiable proprietary frequent-flyer programme is associated with the carrier, so passengers should not assume that flights earn points or provide reciprocal status benefits. Any loyalty credit offered through a booking partner should be confirmed directly before purchasing the ticket.
The compact network can be useful for direct travel between Sarajevo, Banja Luka and selected international gateways without routing through a larger hub. Its limited scale is also a practical challenge: schedules may be less frequent, rebooking alternatives may be fewer, and disruptions can have a greater effect than on larger network airlines. Travellers should allow generous connection time and confirm the operating airline, terminal and baggage rules.

Flying with JetSmart — what to expect
Check Operating Carrier
Confirm the operating airline and flight number on your itinerary, since JetSmart can be confused with the unrelated South American JetSMART brand.
Review Fare Inclusions
As with most low-cost airlines, the lowest fare may exclude checked baggage, advance seat selection and other extras. Review the final bundle before paying.
Limited Cabin Storage
ATR 72 cabins generally have smaller overhead bins than larger jets. Bulky carry-on bags may need to be checked at the gate.
Allow Connection Time
The small network may offer fewer same-day alternatives after a delay or cancellation. Leave a generous buffer when connecting to a separate ticket.
Confirm Schedule Details
Check the departure airport, terminal and current schedule shortly before travel, particularly on routes that may operate only on selected days.

Horrible
Unpleasant staff, I paid an extra 40€ for a bag too big while it is the size of a cabin suitcase. I don’t recommend this company.

Never buy!!!!
Please never buy this, especially when you have connected flights. I bought a ticket in January 2023 for the Juliaca-Lima flight. 5 days before departure, I decided to check the amount of luggage. When I went in, it was written that my flight was canceled… See more without explaining the reasons. I didn't receive any email when I tried to get my money back, they offered me a discount on airline services that I can use until July 2022. How relevant!!! It's good that I checked, otherwise I would have missed the Lima-Paris flight and lost a lot of money

The absolute worst
The only good thing was that we arrived in time. The rest: grumpy no English speaking staff, discrimination of families with children, bad pilot, extra cost for handlugage although it was free, but Jetstar decided what defines a handlugage. I was not far away… See more from canceling the trip at the airport. But I had my wife and daughter with me. We were not allowed to take the pram to the airport and had to pay for it as well. Don't care how cheap it is, just don't do it. They will find a way to charge additional costs. Fly with someone else.

DO NOT USE THIS AIRLINE
if you do not check in and pay for your bags and seat before going to the airport they will charge you double the cost to do so at the check-in window. On my flight from Lima to Cusco I tried multiple times to pay in advance but the website would not allow me… See more to finalize payment. When I got to the Lima airport I explained this and showed my attempts. They understood and allowed me to pay the online rate. Conversely, when the website would not allow me to complete the payment transaction and I explained the issue at the check-in window on the Cusco airport they ignored me and I ended up paying an extra $100 USD more than I would have had their website functioned properly. Ot was explained to me that the fees had just recently gone up a day or two prior and that in Lima they had charged me the full rate. I find this very hard to accept given that I only paid $30 USD in Lima and $200 in Cusco. I saw the agent I was dealing with giggling with the agent sitting next to her while she was dealing with my issue. Very untrustworthy. Would never again fly with this airline.

Worst Airline in the world
STAY AWAY, I have been traveling extensively for at least 25 years in many different airlines, our flight from AER to SCL was delayed 9 hrs, they even had to change the boarding airport to EZE instead or AER, wheb I tried to change the flight it was… See more impossible, no refund and no nothing, attention is the worst in the world, check in took 2.5 hrs at the airport, their team is slow and rude, the culture of this company is horrible, boarding took more than 1 hr and they even gave me a real boarding pass, this os the worst airline in the world, the price is expensive since you have to pay for everything, NEVER AGAIN.

jetsmart is not stable anymore
I am flying Talara to Cusco so I booked 2 flights Talara-Lima-Cusco. Jetsmart cancelled my 19 pm flight Lima to Cusco so I have to spend a night in Lima and pay for accommodation or book in another airline. Cancelling or changing flight times has happened… See more often lately so I have decided to make no more bookings with Jetsmart. Book Latam, less trouble.
