About Hebei Airlines

Hebei Airlines is a Chinese scheduled airline founded in 2010 and headquartered in Shijiazhuang, the capital of Hebei Province. Its operating identity is Hebei Airlines, using the IATA code NS and ICAO code DBH, while its stated legal name is Northeast Airlines. The carrier is associated with XiamenAir and forms part of a wider Chinese airline group structure.

The airline’s primary hub is Shijiazhuang Zhengding International Airport, from which it links Hebei with major commercial centres and regional cities across mainland China. Its network comprises 18 destinations in one country and 32 routes. Other important departure points include Chongqing, Nanchang, Nanjing and Qinhuangdao, supporting a network focused principally on domestic travel rather than international services.

Aircraft types recorded for Hebei Airlines include the Boeing 737-700 and Embraer ERJ-190. The Boeing serves larger domestic markets, while the smaller Embraer is suited to regional routes and thinner demand. Service is generally arranged around economy-class travel, with cabin products and fare inclusions varying by aircraft, route and ticket category; travellers should review their booking conditions before departure.

Hebei Airlines is not independently listed as a member of Star Alliance, SkyTeam or Oneworld, although its relationship with XiamenAir can provide selected commercial and loyalty links within the broader group. Egret Miles is the relevant frequent-flyer programme. Eligibility for mileage earning, redemption and elite benefits can depend on the flight number, booking class and current partner rules.

A notable strength is the airline’s direct connectivity between Shijiazhuang and cities in southern, central and coastal China, including Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Chengdu and Fuzhou. Its comparatively compact network can nevertheless mean fewer daily alternatives than those offered by China’s largest carriers. Passengers connecting through regional stations should allow adequate time and monitor schedule changes, particularly when flights operate less frequently.

Flying with Hebei Airlines — what to expect

Domestic Network Focus

Hebei Airlines primarily serves cities within mainland China. International travellers may need a separate connection with another carrier.

Check Fare Conditions

Baggage, ticket changes and refunds depend on the fare category and booking channel. Confirm the included allowance before arriving at the airport.

Regional Aircraft Possible

Some services may use Embraer ERJ-190 aircraft, which have a smaller cabin and more limited overhead-bin space than Boeing 737 services.

Shijiazhuang Connections

Shijiazhuang is the airline’s main connecting point and offers its broadest route selection. Allow extra time when connecting between separately issued tickets.

Mileage Eligibility

Egret Miles benefits may be available on eligible flights, but mileage credit can vary by booking class. Add your membership number before departure and retain the boarding pass.

Good experience overall

EconomyLangfang - Zhalantun
It is quite cheap from such a long distance from Daxing to Zhalantun. The food was quite good for the price. The special in-cabin decoration with Hebei character was impressive. The new Zhalantun Airport was great as well and very clean. Brand-new Daxing See moreSee less

Short flight

EconomyShijiazhuang - Zhangjiakou
The flight NS3201 from Shijiazhuang to Zhangjiakou took off just on time and landed earlier than scheduled, which surprised me a lot. But there's no meal service onboard but a pack of nuts, because it's a short flight, which only flew 45min. The luggage claim See moreSee less

This was probably the worst flight I ever had. I did not find the flight in any of the usual websites like Skyscanner etc. But in their all Chinese homepage I could make out Shijizhuang to Bkk. Check in and immigration were a little bit complicated. The staff See moreSee less
