Overview
Houari Boumediene Airport is the primary international gateway for Algiers, the capital of Algeria, located approximately 20 kilometres east of the city centre in the Dar El Beïda district. It serves as the busiest airport in Algeria and a key hub for air travel across North Africa and into Europe, the Middle East, and sub-Saharan Africa. The airport has operated in its current form since the 1970s.
