TAAG Angola Airlines is Angola’s national flag carrier and a state-owned scheduled airline. Its history dates to 1938, when it was established as Divisão dos Transportes Aéreos de Angola, commonly known as DTA. The airline adopted the TAAG name following Angolan independence and now operates under the legal name TAAG Angola Airlines. Its DT IATA code and distinctive sable antelope identity are familiar features of Angolan commercial aviation.

Totally smooth
All airlines have about a 2 star rating these days (mainly due to passengers getting a raw deal during covid) so I wasn’t too concerned with any negative reviews- as ppl don’t tend to leave a review if everything went fine. Food was good, staff were friendly… See more and we were given an iPad to watch a section of films on)- Tip, bring your own headphones to plug in (not with iPhone adapter). Not happy to have my ticket cancelled and then asked for double the amount to be able to take same flight
I bout a ticket with TAAG on the 8/5/2023, got eticket. A weeklater my ticket is not valid and money sent back into account with no further explanation. All went smoothly and flights were fine
After reading all the bad reviews, I was wary about flying with Taag but it was the quickest route by far to Cape Town and the price was also reasonable. Everything was fine. We are a family with a child and had no problems. There were no delays on any… See more flights, we took 6 in total between us all, staff were friendly and helpful , not over friendly but fine. No entertainment but that was fine as knew that. Food wasn't bad at all. Overall I wanted to share this as I was really worried after reading the reviews but it all worked out well and glad we flew with them to save us time. I know a few people who have used them for the same route and also no complaints.

Thieves and scammers!!!
As per the many disgruntled passengers on this TAAG blog, I too have been fleeced to the tune of $3500 for tickets I purchased in FEB2020, which were cancelled due to COVID. Despite a plethora of Email exchanges with their incompetent customer service agents I… See more have to date had no refund or even an option of a voucher for future travel. This is contrary to their continued reassurance that the matter will be resolved in due course. (been 3 years now) I don't know what further I can do or what other options I have to take this further. One of the complainants with the same problem mentioned that they are considering taking his case up with an airline Lawyer. Could you please let the rest of us know haw your case is going and if there is any hope for us to get our money back.,,,,, ever?

Is this a joke or
My sister who left São Paulo on Monday is arriving in joberg only on Thursday after being routed all through various countries in Europe bc of this poor excuse for a airline. I, myself, am now currently stuck in the Luanda airport with no word on when we are… See more getting out of here and all of the boarding passes for our flight home have been aggressively confiscated by the rude airline staff. I have flown over seas hundreds of times and have never experienced anything more disorganized. The state of the planes are there is no entertainment even if they have screens. The smaller planes have literal sharp metal sticking into your back and the chairs don’t even recline. My partner and I are laughing at this point bc it feels like we are no longer living in reality with all this going on. Why were our boarding passes taken away from us. Why will no one tell us what is happening? This is too much man. Do yourself the biggest favor and avoid avoid avoid. Don’t make the same mistake we did. We hope we make it out of here in one piece.

STILL waiting for my 2019 Covid refund...I keep sending emails, sometimes I receive a reply requesting copies of ticket, mostly just... nothing! (did not travel, but this review forced a travel date entry)
