About S7 Airlines
S7 Airlines traces its origins to an aviation unit established at Novosibirsk Tolmachevo Airport in 1957. The modern carrier emerged as Siberia Airlines in 1992 following the reorganization of Soviet civil aviation and adopted the S7 Airlines brand in 2005. It is privately owned and forms the principal airline business of the S7 Group. Its IATA code is S7, while its ICAO designator is SBI.
The airline's primary operating centers are Moscow and Novosibirsk, supported by substantial departures from Vladivostok and Khabarovsk. Its network covers 85 destinations across 26 countries through 259 routes, with domestic flying forming a central part of the schedule. Services link major Russian cities and remote regional centers, while international routes include destinations in neighboring countries and important Asian markets such as Beijing.

S7 is liar
They never refund the money with many lies especially for foreigners like me. In my case, I bought the ticket with my card so they can refund money to my credit card technically and Legally. But S 7 forced me to prepare the Russian Bank account. They never… See more explain why they can’t refund to my card but they says the cash refund to the Russian account is only way to the refund. According to my credit card company, S7 has no reason they can’t do refund to the card. I believe this is their intention not to refund.I was very very disappointed. I strongly recommend not to use this air line.

I was denied entry for no reason.. Avoid this scam
The most terrible airline in the world. I was simply denied entry for no reason. I had transit through Bangkok, according to the rules, transit without visa is allowed as soon as I don't leave the airport and my transit is less than 10 hours, I have been doing… See more that for years. But good luck explaining this simple thing to S7 staff. So I was denied entry the day of the flight. S7 staff was bringing random excuses how I don't hold visa to the last destination (to which I have valid e-visa and it won't be on S7 after Bangkok). The guy was just happy meaningless exuses and told us that our tickets are on sale already. I hate S7 and their staff in Irkusts. I will never take S7 again even if the only alternative is a slow train.

Great airline to travel to/from Moscow
In 2021 it has been the cheapest airline flying to/from Russia. They have a very decent level of service. And I like their flexibility in booking and adding features. Customer support is always there for you in the chat.

Impressive customer service
Normally I wouldn't expect much from a budget airline, however I was pleasantly surprised from the moment I stepped into the airplane. The flight attendant Dmitriy approached me straight away offering his assistance in taking care of my hand luggage and… See more escorting me to my seat (and I flew in economy, not business class!). Throughout the journey, the whole crew was very attentive, responsive, patient, polite and friendly. They were helpful and willing to go extra mile with a smile on their faces. I haven't seen this kind of dedication even in Qatar airways, which have been my favourite so far. The aircraft itself was small, but clean. Nothing remarkable, just standard. But the crew does make the difference, each and every team member. Kudos to them and the management that trains and motivates them properly! The only disappointing thing was that there was no notification of the flight delay, so I had to spend another 2.5 hours waiting at the airport. However this might have happened due to the fact that I booked my flight via the third party, so I cannot really blame the airline.

Controversial experience
We used S7 to get to Antalya in January and then get back to Moscow in February. Our first flight was really good. The aircraft was modern, with comfortable seats and enough feet space. The air company provided snacks and beverages. The flight was a bit late,… See more but not by much, probably less than an hour. Unfortunately, our flight back home was one of the worst I remember. Firstly, the flight was scheduled on 4:25 pm. We arrived to the airport of Antalya at 2:20. At the same time S7 sent us an SMS that informed us about possible delay due to extreme weather conditions in Moscow. The flight was getting delayed many times and the overall delay was exactly 6 (!!!) hours. During that time S7’s office at the airport was closed, there were no representatives of the company, so no one apologized for that inconvenience, no one clarified the situation and of course no one offered us drinks and food during those 6 hours. Luckily, administration of the airport of Antalya gave us food and drinks, so big thanks to them, they took the responsibility for the problem instead of S7. When we finally got on the aircraft, we found out that it was really old: seats not suitable for adult people in terms of width and feet space, no climate control, so that it was really hot inside the aircraft and the air was dry. Final surprise was that mid-flight flight attendants announced that “they decided not to take food aboard”. Wow! You decided not to give us what we paid for, thank you! And of course, no social distancing, the aircraft was full of people. I guess, it’s an okay air company when there are no extreme situations.
