About Republic Airways
Republic Airways is a privately held regional airline headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana. Its origins date to 1974, and the modern carrier operates under the Republic Airways name with the IATA code YX. Republic acquired Midwest Airlines in 2009, but the former Midwest passenger brand and MidwestAirlines.com identity should not be confused with Republic’s present role as a contract operator.
