Oman Air very worst airlines, especially the ground crews in Kuwait, very tragic what happened to us and imagine we traveling with our kids

Worst airline ever
They rescheduled my flights 4 days (both departure and return) without any apologies or informing the reason or compensation.

Worst of worst airline
Our journey started in Copenhagen and ends in Colombo. Have two connecting flights first one at Frankfurt international airport and the other one at Muscat Oman. We were delayed from our first flight even though it was there inside the country passengers… See more weren’t allowed to get out for like 20/30 min. Then there was a huge security check-in and passport check line inside the airport and the airport itself is a very huge lot of walking. So since we got delayed from our first flight we were delayed to reach the next flight operated by Oman airline but still, there were 5min left before taking off and the flight was in front of us but there were three ladies who were there working for Oman airline didn't allow us to board. Us means it was not only me. There were another family and two people who traveled on the same flight and had the same problem. Later when we asked for rebook they asked us to pay again the full amount and have to wait another day until the next flight or another few days for another flight. We can't go in or out. No accommodations were provided for a rebooking refund. Simply they didn’t do anything. Customer service was terrible as hell. They were like if they didn't like to go and post on social media they don't mind. They literally said to go and post on Twitter or any other social media platform about the issue with no problem but they can't help but do something on their own. I even have the recording of customer service persons call to us. And also forgot to mention I was taking some videos from the flight while we were waiting so they can't deny that they were delayed. They wanted the other family to pay 28000kr for the flight but no refund for the canceled one. These people were very unfair, unbelievable, and also very rude and unprofessional. I mean they don't even care about the bad reputation they are going to get. There was no fault from our side we even checked in at least they could have announced our names or Inform. Nothing like that. We were only able to get into the airport from the flight was 30 min after which was around 9.10/15. Then had to take buses and trains and go through huge checking lines even tried to cut the line but weren't allowed for that. So who's fault is it.

Very good experience!

Fine flight
I was pleasantly surprised about the service by Oman Air. The booking, check-in process was efficient and comfort during the trip was good. I enjoyed the excellent food (not greasy) and entertainment (choice of movies) during the flight. Attendants were… See more helpful and friendly. The flight was on schedule. The reason I was rather hesitant to book Oman Air was and is that generally speaking when something goes wrong in the Middle East, few staff take responsibility and communication is usually a nightmare. Anyway during this trip everything went smoothly.

Long way to Bali
Have waited several months before posting this report and decided it’s time, also Oman air is ignoring my dozen of mails I have sent recently regarding a future booking. Travelling RT to Bali from Paris CDG with a long stopover in MCT which I was aware of but… See more happy about it, knowing the lounge from a previous trip and very enjoyable. Only minutes before boarding in CDG I received an alert that my flight to KUL would be belayed by almost 5 hours then missing my MH connection to Denpasar. Contacted the gate agent who confirmed me that my original booking was still on, so embarked releived. The business class cabin was entirely full and all 30 seats were occupied in this B787-9. Sadly they run out of champagne we even had left the gate yet as they were taking orders for after departure drinks. Bad planning on such a route where champagne is traditionnally in great demand. Being still at gate contact they could have easily asked for a few more bottles, disappointing. Service overall was very friendly and professionalon all four segments, the food and presentation exquisite. Only on the first segment did I receive the original business class amenity kit, on the other three it consisted of a small bag with eye mask and few other small items, very similar to the one given in Economy. What I found strange and despite being featured on the menus on all 4 segments, I was (all other guests neither) never asked or offered the pre-arrival snack ; It’s not that I was particularly hungry but the gesture of asking would have been appreciated. Upon arriving in MCT I asked at the lounge desk about my connection to KUL and confirmed the flight is delayed and that I would miss my connexion to Bali and resulted a 18 hours transit stay in the lounge. As a Business class traveller and Silver Sindbad member I was never offered a hotel or one of their private room within the lounge. Followed an endless ordeal regarding my missed connexion and how to deal with it. I was sent to an office at the other side of the airport who was completly helpless, sending me back to the lounge and as shifts changed had to explain my case all over again. After almost a full day in the lounge finally embarked on the KUL bound flight and was met on arrival by an Oman air representative with a boarding pass for the following day and a hotel room within the airport for 17 hours. Inquired about my luggage and was told they would follow with the new flight. After three days finally arrived in Bali with the guaranty my luggage would be there and no, they were missing !! Filled a report at the airport and was really upset after this ordeal that after what I went through, the least I would expect is that my luggage were there. Only got them two days later they were delivered to my hotel in Ubud. Return trip went unvently well no complains. I still consider Oman air as a great airline and would not hesitate to recommand it ; Great improvments are to be achieved in regards to communications and public relations.
