About NokScoot
NokScoot was a Thai low-cost airline founded in 2014 as a joint venture between Thailand’s Nok Air and Singapore-based Scoot, which was part of the Singapore Airlines group. Its identity combined the brands of its two shareholders, and it operated under the XW airline code. NokScoot was distinct from China Xinhua Airlines despite the conflicting legal-name, ICAO-code and website details supplied alongside its name.
The airline was based at Don Mueang International Airport in Bangkok, the Thai capital’s principal low-cost gateway. Its network concentrated on medium- and longer-haul services across Asia, connecting Thailand with markets in China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and India. Prominent destinations during its operating history included Tokyo, Osaka, Sapporo, Seoul, Taipei, Nanjing, Qingdao, Tianjin and New Delhi, although schedules changed over time.
NokScoot operated Boeing 777-200ER wide-body aircraft previously flown by Singapore Airlines. The cabins included standard economy seating and ScootBiz, a premium product with wider seats and additional benefits rather than a conventional full-service business class. As with many low-cost carriers, the basic fare did not necessarily include checked baggage, meals or seat selection, so passengers needed to compare bundles and optional charges carefully.
NokScoot was not a member of Star Alliance, SkyTeam or Oneworld. It did not maintain a widely established standalone frequent-flyer programme comparable with those of major full-service airlines. Passengers could not generally rely on alliance-wide lounge access, mileage earning or protected connections, and benefits associated with Nok Air, Scoot or Singapore Airlines depended on the specific booking and applicable programme rules.
The carrier’s main strength was offering nonstop, low-cost wide-body service between Bangkok and several important North and East Asian markets. However, its relatively small fleet and limited frequencies could make disruption recovery and self-arranged connections more difficult. NokScoot ceased operations in 2020 after sustained financial challenges were intensified by the collapse in international demand during the COVID-19 pandemic, and it no longer sells tickets or operates flights.

Don Mueang Base
The airline operated from Bangkok’s Don Mueang International Airport rather than Suvarnabhumi Airport. Transfers between Bangkok’s two main airports required a separate ground journey and generous connection time.
Extras Cost More
NokScoot followed a low-cost model in which checked baggage, meals and seat selection could be sold separately. Historical fare comparisons should therefore consider the total price after required extras.
Wide-Body Cabins
Its Boeing 777 aircraft offered economy seating and a premium ScootBiz cabin. ScootBiz provided additional comfort and inclusions but was not equivalent to a lie-flat, full-service business-class product.
Separate Ticket Risk
Passengers using separate tickets for onward travel needed extra connection time. Baggage transfers and rebooking protection depended on the individual booking arrangement.

Be careful cheating airline!!!
Be careful with booking of this airline!!! They offer flights, take the money and later they cancel the flight. After this they offer a voucher but even after one month no feedback or voucher. The World's Worst Airline.
Nok Scoot Airlines must rank as the World's Worst Airline - having unilaterally cancelled both outbound and inbound flights, attempting to gain flight credit vouchers or a refund from the so-called support team or call centre has proved impossible over a… See more period exceeding one month. Whilst the airline demands bookings received in cash within 60 minutes in order to confirm - refunds take a mind boggling 14 weeks to process. The CAAT should revoke this carriers certification to operate in Thailand until it administers customers accounts professionally and stops pocketing booking funds making it nigh impossible to recover.

Terrible Airline, Terrible Customer Service
We had someone show extremely flu symptoms earlier last week, and talked to the counter about changing to the next flight out which was the next day, as we worried for our health with this passenger. They would not budge and told us we need to call the… See more customer service hotline in order to make any changes. In the time it took me to sit on hold and finally get to someone, the plane closed its check in and I was deemed a no-show in their system. They have a COVID19 policy, but this apparently did not meet their standards and did not allow me to rebook despite their COVID19 policy. Now keep in mind the plane has not left yet. The customer service told me there was nothing they can do and I would have to rebook my flight if I wanted to do anything and no credit would be applied. The next experience was another COVID19 experience where we are flying back from BKK to Osaka, and we wanted to limit our time in Osaka. Their COVID19 policy clearly states that we would pay the difference between the flights if we are changing the dates, no problem. When we look at what we paid for our return flight vs what a new return flight would be, it equals to less than the original return flight cost (I.E. I would not have to pay anything to change the date). I am being told that I would still have to pay over 13800 yen on top of our initial flight costs for some reason. I request a travel voucher instead, and the value is 16800 yen (see how this no longer makes sense anymore? The worth my travel voucher is more than the flight). They told me it would take THREE WEEKS to process a credit. How does this even make sense? The kicker on top of all this and both customer experiences, the customer service representative tells me they are not a NOKSCOOT employee but a SCOOT employee, so their ability to do things are limited. Their phone system is either broken or useless because I selected the Nokscoot in the automated system to begin with. They also do not have the ability to transfer me to a Nokscoot employee.. Convenient.. Doesn't matter what time you call (I've called through out the day, this will happen regardless of the time) Actual flight experience: Nobody brings you a drink, not even an offer for water. They do not allow external food on the flight, and force you to buy their food. They essentially hold you hostage to pay whatever they will charge with no ifs ands or buts. I will never take this airline again and strongly urge you not to, for if you have any potential to change anything, or just an appetite on the plane, you will have to pay exorbitant prices to make it work for yourself.

Worst experience ever
First, I had been waiting in a long line for almost two hours (the longest ever in my life). They just opened 4 counters to check in in spite of the crowd. Comfortable Seat of Low Cost Airline
Impress the service, this is the first time for sitting more than 4 hours with Low cost Airline. Cleanness airline and also good food (select your menu on website, price is reasonable) Service on board.
