About NAM Air

NAM Air is identified here by the legal name MAT Macedonian Airlines, with the IATA code IN and ICAO code MAK. It is a scheduled carrier headquartered in North Macedonia. Publicly supplied details do not establish a reliable founding year, current ownership structure or relationship between the NAM Air trading name and the legal identity, so travellers should verify the operating carrier shown on their booking before departure.

The airline serves 3 destinations across 2 countries through 4 routes. Groznyy is its busiest departure point by route count, followed by Almaty and Astana. This network links the Russian city of Groznyy with Kazakhstan’s two principal metropolitan centres and is considerably smaller than the networks of major regional airlines. Schedules may therefore offer fewer alternative departure times when disruption occurs.

The aircraft type associated with these services is the Fokker 100, a twin-engine, single-aisle regional jet typically used on short- and medium-haul routes. Confirmed cabin classes and onboard amenities are not clearly established. Passengers should consult their fare conditions or operating-carrier information for seat selection, catering, baggage and cabin-service details, as these can differ by route and ticket type.

No confirmed membership in Star Alliance, SkyTeam or Oneworld is established for this airline, and no confidently identifiable frequent-flyer programme is available. Travellers should not assume that alliance status, lounge access, priority services or mileage earning will apply. Anyone booking through another airline or an agency should check directly whether the individual fare provides benefits through a separate partner programme.

The compact route map can be useful for direct travel among Groznyy, Almaty and Astana, avoiding an additional connection where nonstop service is scheduled. Its principal challenge is limited network depth: with only 4 routes, fewer same-airline alternatives may be available after cancellations or major delays. Flexible onward arrangements, adequate connection time and careful confirmation of the operating schedule are sensible precautions.

Good to know

Flying with NAM Air — what to expect

Confirm The Operator

Check the operating-carrier name and flight code on your ticket, particularly because the supplied brand and legal identity differ. Use the operating carrier’s instructions for check-in and airport assistance.

Small Route Network

The airline operates only 4 routes serving 3 destinations, so rebooking options may be limited during disruption. Leave additional time before separate-ticket connections.

Fokker 100 Flights

Services are associated with the single-aisle Fokker 100. Cabin layout, seat selection and onboard amenities should be confirmed for the individual flight.

Check Baggage Terms

Baggage allowances can depend on the fare and booking channel. Review the allowance printed on the ticket before travelling rather than relying on another airline’s policy.

Verify Flight Schedules

On a compact network, services may not operate daily. Reconfirm departure times and airport details close to travel.

This summer I ordered a round trip with this "company". Both flights were canceled concurrently. Only one was refunded. I'm still waiting for an answer for 3 months for the other one. The flight cancellations were made only 15 days before takeoff. A really See moreSee less

Abhorrent Airline

Our flight from Sumba (TMC) to Bali (DPS) on 2 Jul was cancelled. An email with English title and Bahasa Indonesia content was sent to us on 1 Jul. Nam Air offered us the next available flight on 10 Jul. The supposed cancellation was not due to weather or See moreSee less

Classic And Old

EconomySurabaya - Denpasar

This is my experience on Nam Air. This route uses a Boeing 737 Series 500 Classic. the plane is very old, the window cover is a little damaged (it can't be closed completely), the seats are torn a lot. but for very good service, ontime.

This is definitely not the best airline I've ever flown, and also not the worst. The flight was on time, with no problems checking in at all. Only downfall is that you can not check in online, you must do it in person at the airport. The aircraft was a little See moreSee less

Had such a bad experience with Nam air. First we were told that the flight was leaving a half an hour earlier than scheduled but once we got to the airport it was delayed an hour and a half passed the originally schedule time. Then, half the plane did not get See moreSee less
