jetBlue
A U.S. low-cost airline known for an extensive East Coast network, complimentary onboard entertainment and multiple cabin options on selected routes.
About jetBlue
JetBlue Airways is a U.S. low-cost airline founded in 1998 and launched commercially in 2000. It operates under the JetBlue brand and is owned by publicly traded JetBlue Airways Corporation. The carrier developed an identity that combines value-oriented fares with several features more commonly associated with full-service airlines, including seatback entertainment and complimentary snacks on many flights.
New York is JetBlue's primary hub and largest departure market, complemented by substantial operations in Boston, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale and San Juan. Its network comprises 334 routes serving 63 destinations across 15 countries. The schedule is particularly strong along the U.S. East Coast and includes domestic services, Caribbean links and selected international routes.
Aircraft types recorded in JetBlue operations include the Airbus A320 and Embraer ERJ-190. The airline generally sells several fare categories rather than using a single uniform product, with inclusions such as checked baggage and ticket flexibility varying by fare. Most flights use an economy-focused layout, while the premium Mint cabin is available only on selected routes and aircraft.
JetBlue is not a member of Star Alliance, SkyTeam or Oneworld, although it may maintain individual commercial partnerships with other airlines. Its loyalty programme is TrueBlue, through which members can earn points on eligible JetBlue travel and selected partner transactions. Points can be redeemed toward qualifying flights, while status benefits depend on the member's current Mosaic tier.
A notable strength is the airline's concentration in major East Coast markets, which can provide useful nonstop options to Florida, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. Travellers should nevertheless compare fare conditions carefully because baggage, changes and seat selection may carry different rules or charges. Operations through busy airports such as New York and Boston can also be vulnerable to congestion and disruptive weather.

Flying with jetBlue — what to expect
Check Fare Inclusions
Baggage, seat selection and change conditions vary by fare category. Review the inclusions before paying rather than assuming every JetBlue ticket offers the same benefits.
Carry-On Rules
The permitted cabin baggage can depend on the fare and itinerary. Confirm the current allowance in your booking and ensure each item meets JetBlue's published size limits.
Mint Availability
JetBlue's Mint premium cabin is offered only on selected routes and aircraft. Check the seat map and product description when booking if a premium seat is important.
Busy Hub Connections
Allow a sensible buffer when connecting through New York or Boston, especially during winter or peak travel periods. Congestion and weather can affect tightly timed itineraries.
TrueBlue Points
TrueBlue members can earn points on eligible JetBlue bookings, with earnings influenced by the fare and booking channel. Mosaic members may receive additional benefits according to their tier.

a very disappointing experience
two hours delay in departure. No explanation or apologies given. Poor cabin service, unfriendly in flight service. Poorly dressed and sloppy looking crew.

bad experience with JetBlue
I am completely disappointed with this company, get out of them, everything happened to go and come back, total lack of respect for customers, I bought my flight precisely for the arrival time at my destination in Punta Cana which would be 10:30 am, this way I… See more could make better use of my vacation days, however, my flight was scheduled to leave Boston at 6:35 am on 01/09/2023 and arrive in Punta Cana at 10:30 am, but JetBlue only said it was late, we waited a long time, until we boarded, we spent almost an hour on the plane before we got off again and waited a long time for another boarding, at the end of it all I only arrived at my destination, it was already past 6 pm, I lost an entire day of my vacation, day of my return which was 08/09/2023 from Punta Cana to Boston with a stop in Ny and arrival in Boston, such was my surprise when I arrived in Ny the flight that was to leave for Boston at 10:50 pm was cancelled, the staff giving vague answers, they said that our flight to Boston would only leave the next day at the same time, that if we wanted we would have to wait more than 24 hours and that JetBlue would not pay for the hotel, I saw many people indignant, without answers, with much insistence they put me on a flight at 3 am, to get to Boston, when I arrived in Boston my suitcase didn't come, after a lot of searching for information they said they would deliver it to my house, 2 days later, avoid this company, because if you have problems they are totally uneducated to solve problems, I hope I never have to fly with JetBlue

Just bad airline. Always chaos
Used to be great airline to fly with. They got to big. Last few trips always delays. Caos in the airport. Dirty old plans. Poor customer service. I rather fly with the big name such as delta and AA which improve significantly. So sad

Extremely Unprofessional Airline
What should have happened: 1. Depart at 4:27pm ET 2. Arrival at 11:17pm ET (8:17pm PT) For a total duration of 6h50. What actually happened: 1. On tarmac at 4:27pm ET 2. Told at ~5:30pm ET that our initial tarmac lane got closed due to wind conditions and air… See more traffic control is working on getting us another route 3. Told at 6pm that we got a new route but that the plane needs more fuel for the elongated route, so we need to go back to the gate 4. 6:30pm we are back at the gate for refueling and sit there for 15min. 5. 6:45pm we are on our way to the tarmac again 6. 7:00pm our new route is closed due to wind conditions, we're waiting for new re-routing 7. 8:15pm we are given a new route but the plane doesn't have enough fuel for that route 8. 9:30pm we are back at the gate and are told to deplane and JetBlue is attempting to find a new crew as the initial crew will not be part of the flight anymore due to some legal reason. 9. 9:45pm our flight is cancelled So after 5h+, for a 6h50 flight, we are back to square one. What did we get? a 12 dollar voucher to spend on dinner. As a reminder, that gets you 2 chocolate bars in the overpriced Terminal 5 at JFK. In addition, the commentary of the crew was absurd. The pilot mentioned "we need about 2000 extra gallons of fuel for this new route" but wouldn't tell us what the time estimate of that is. What kind of metric is that, do we all have a PhD in aviation? Extremely disappointed in this airline, will try to avoid at all cost. I'm going to cancel my flight since this airline isn't even offering a flight for the next day so far (3h post cancellation and their representative at the gate said we'd be scheduled within 1 to 2 hours). They get a 1/5 from me.

No help when they cancel flight
Cancelled flight yesterday with no options to rebook. Called what I thought was their cancellation line and person on phone represented themself as jet blue rep. Was told no jet blue flights for four days so was charged 1064$ to switch flight to delta. Thought… See more it seemed pricey so waited 1.5 hours to be told by nasty jet blue agent that they could do nothing because the jet blue agent I talked to requested refund. I also paid 230$ for hotel last night. Jet blue said it is not their fault flight cancelled and they don’t know who I talked to on phone who said they were jet blue rep. So I am currently sitting in Newark airport hoping to get to Orlando via Cincinnati today. If your flight cancelled, jet blue does nothing but send you on flight days later and you have to pay for meals and hotels. I fly alot and have had flights cancelled but never had no flight rebooked within 24 hours and hotel voucher. End of a great vacation ruined. Never again. Delta has been much more helpful but I am no home yet so story continues.

Zero customer service
Got to airport at 8 am for flight on a Sunday morning. The board said cancelled. Not a soul to help at customer service. On a Sunday in the summer?????? I had to book a flight on Delta to get home. I then spent 3 hours waiting on the Chat line customer service… See more to chat with a representative. I was able to get a full refund for my ticket but…… I no longer want to fly this airline. It’s not the first time it left me hanging with a cancelled flight. One time I booked them and next thing I know is that I am on an American Eagle flight. They used to be the best, not anymore.
