Jazeera Airways
Kuwait-based low-cost carrier connecting its Kuwait City hub with cities across the Middle East, North Africa and nearby regions using Airbus A320 aircraft.
About Jazeera Airways
Jazeera Airways is a Kuwaiti low-cost airline founded in 2004 and launched commercially the following year. It operates under the J9 airline code and is publicly listed in Kuwait, giving it a distinct identity among the region’s privately established carriers. Its business model focuses on competitively priced, point-to-point travel while allowing passengers to select paid extras according to their needs.
The airline’s primary base is Kuwait International Airport in Kuwait City, where it uses the dedicated Terminal 5 for its own departures and arrivals. Its network comprises 32 routes serving 17 destinations across 11 countries. Important markets include Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Syria and Turkey, with Amman, Asyut, Manama and Beirut also among its busiest departure points.
Jazeera Airways operates Airbus Industrie A320-family aircraft, a common choice for short- and medium-haul low-cost services. Its cabins are configured mainly for economy travel, although some flights may offer a business-class product with additional space and service. Fares are generally unbundled, so baggage, preferred seating, meals and flexibility can vary according to the package or optional services purchased.
The carrier does not belong to Star Alliance, SkyTeam or Oneworld, and its network is structured primarily around its own flights rather than alliance connections. Travellers should therefore assess separate-ticket connections carefully and allow sufficient time between flights. No frequent-flyer programme is listed here because an exact current programme name and official membership page cannot be confirmed confidently.
A notable strength is Jazeera Airways’ focused regional network, which provides nonstop links between Kuwait and several cities with substantial business, family and leisure demand. Its dedicated Kuwait terminal can also simplify the airport experience for passengers using its services. The main trade-off is typical of low-cost travel: the lowest fare may exclude checked baggage, meals, seat selection and easy changes, so the final price should be compared after adding required extras.

Flying with Jazeera Airways — what to expect
Dedicated Kuwait Terminal
Jazeera Airways operates through Terminal 5 at Kuwait International Airport. Confirm the terminal on your booking before travelling, especially if connecting to another airline.
Check Fare Inclusions
Lower fares may exclude checked baggage, advance seat selection, meals and flexible changes. Compare the total price after adding everything you expect to use.
Baggage Varies
Cabin and checked-baggage entitlements depend on the fare and route. Review the allowance shown on your ticket rather than assuming every Jazeera fare includes the same baggage.
Buy Extras Early
Optional baggage and preferred seating are generally best arranged before reaching the airport. Airport purchases may be less convenient and can cost more.
Separate Ticket Connections
Jazeera Airways is not part of a global airline alliance. If connecting on separate tickets, allow a generous buffer and account for baggage collection, terminal changes and renewed check-in.
Airbus Narrowbody Flights
Services use Airbus A320-family aircraft suited to regional routes. Seat pitch and onboard inclusions can differ by cabin, fare and individual aircraft configuration.

Worst Airlines ever
waited for almost 4 hrs for boarding the plan and later being informed that the flight is cancelled. No proper communication, no respect for passengers and even the PNR is not update online to check the cancel status and refund.

Al jazeera flight review
Worst flight ever, cancelled flight after waiting for 6 7 hours at airport. Instead of arranging another flight they just add credits to account and ask to book another jazeera flight which is 5 days later. No other option given nor any refund.. pathetic.. ban… See more this airlines..offers are waste.. don't waste your money on this. U will lose much more money if u think of saving through some discount taking this flight..

Cancelled ticket and confiscated money without my confirmation
I was just checking cancellation charges and pressed next to check total cancellation charges. Jazeera cancelled my ticket without letting me to confirm 'yes' or 'no'. Then they confiscated my money without prior mentioning anywhere at the booking time that… See more they will not issue any refund and only allow that same passenger to book ticket within 1 year. Otherwise credits will be expired. They hid policy from customers. Their service is non-transparent, they fall you under the trap of cheap charges.

Cancelled flight 3 times, cannot get a refund
I booked a flight through Esky from Colombo to Istanbul for 28 Mar 2023 (Tue). 5 days before the flight Esky informed me that the flight is cancelled and offered another date - 01.04. I refused and asked for a refund. I am sending mails to Esky and Jazeera for… See more a month already, but they refuse to give me money back saying that I boarded the flight. How can I board it if it was cancelled?!? Horrible airline, horrible support, I will neither use Esky nor take flights with Jazeera again. I do not recommend you to do it as well.
